Labor has maintained its lead over the coalition in the latest Ipsos poll as Bill Shorten's position as preferred prime minister improves.
Scott Morrison's lead over Bill Shorten as preferred prime minister has substantially decreased in the latest Ipsos poll while Labor's lead over the coalition has reduced by a point.
Mr Morrison is favoured by 45 per cent of voters while the Labor leader is preferred by 40 per cent, the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age reported on Sunday.
