Members of the African-Australian communities are urging the public to treat them with respect following the announcement of a taskforce to work with police in tackling youth crime.

An African-Australian communities taskforce will meet for the first time tomorrow (Fri) to support the police.

Some community members have reportedly received death threats after reports of crime by youths allegedly of African background.

This community member says not all African-Australian youths are misbehaving.
