Morning News: calls to scrap Centrlink's robodebt program

Advocates push to raise unemployment benefit in Australia.

Labor has called upon the federal government to scrap the Centrelink's robodebt program.


Labor spokesman Bill Shorten said in a statement that the program is "harsh and unfair."

The ABC's 7.30 on Monday night highlighted a story where the family of a dead disability pensioner received a call from the Centrelink for retrieving a debt of $7000.
