An appeal hearing for Cardinal George Pell continues today [Thurs] in Melbourne.

Cardinal Pell is appealing against his conviction for abusing two boys when he was Archbishop of Melbourne in the 1990s.

The case against him relied on the evidence of one of the victims, because the other died of a drug overdose in 2014.

Lisa Flynn, the lawyer for the father of the deceased victim, says the appeal has caused her client great distress.
