Morrison doesn’t intend to revoke George Pell honors

Prime Minister Scott Morrison however says the government will not be revoking George Pell's Order of Australia while the legal process is still underway.

Pell was made a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2005 for services to the Catholic Church.

He maintains his innocence and has lodged an appeal against his conviction.

Mr Morrison says no decision will be made until that legal process has concluded.
