News bulletin of the morning

Prime Minister Scott Morrison is reportedly considering recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in a historic change of policy which would align Australia with United States president Donald Trump’s controversial shift.

Australia has had its Israel embassy in Tel Aviv because of the decades-long land dispute in Jerusalem between Israelis and Palestinians.

Australia would become only the second major country after the United States to shift its position.

Mr Morrison is also expected to announce later today he will review Australia’s support for the Iran nuclear deal.
