Australia's political leaders have thrown their weight behind the 'yes' campaign ahead of the same-sex marriage postal survey Speaking at separate events, both Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten spoke of their intention to vote 'yes' when survey papers start arriving in the mail this week.


Mr Turnbull told the NSW Liberals and Nationals for YES campaign launch same-sex marriage could be legal before the end of the year. 

The Opposition Leader addressed a marriage equality rally in Sydney.

Mr Shorten expressed confidence the 'yes' vote will prevail and applauded Mr Turnbull's support.
