The Breast Cancer Network Australia has welcomed Labor's $2.3 billion cancer care plan.
In his budget reply speech, Opposition leader Bill Shorten says the package aims to reduce out-of-pocket costs for specialist appointments, while dramatically increasing the number of bulk billed imaging services, including MRI.
Breast Cancer Network Australia CEO Kirsten Pilatti says she is pleased the party has been listening to the stories of breast cancer survivors.
But the Doctors Reform Society says it is disappointed that only one medical condition got the funding pledge.
The society's President Dr Tim Woodruff says affordable access to care should not be denied to other patients.
