The Victorian State Government has announced a package of changes in legislation governing the relationship between the tenant and the homeowner. The government said the legislation, which will enter into force next year, will re balance the relationship.
The changes include obligating the landlord to declare whether he wants to sell the house during the tenancy contract, and a stricter mechanism for raising rents.
