Good Morning Australia hosted Syrian-Palestinian actress Shoukran Mortaja to talk about the January cover of Soul Arabia magazine, through which she intended to defy 'plastic' beauty standards.
Shoukran talked about the significance of this cover. "I was genuinely happy when the magazine contacted me to arrange for the photo-shoot. I've been ignored by media outlets for a long time despite my talents; this cover sheds a light on all those talents who never get a chance to appear on front pages." she told SBS Arabic24.
The famous actress whose career spanned over the past 20 years, in which she took on a variety of roles in soap operas and on the big screen, strongly believes that inner beauty radiates from the inside out. She aimed at delivering the vital message to the younger generation. "Do not rush things, live the details of each phase of your life and define you own beauty." she adds.
