WESTERN Sydney women are still smoking during pregnancy at alarming rates despite years of public health campaigns about the dangers of cigarette smoke to babies. NSW Health data collected between 2010 and 2012 shows the highest rates of smoking during pregnancy in the Sydney metropolitan area is in Campbelltown where 19.5 per cent of all pregnant women smoke.
