new Lebanese film, "The American Motion Picture" , which is made up of grainy footage of a 35 year - old play by legendary singer-writer-actor Ziad Rahbani is showing now in Beirut to a grat success. In his famous, sardonic black humour, Ziad talks in the play / film about the Lebanon's eternal problems with sectarianism and national disintegration . The amazing thing is that this footage was never meant to be shown publicly.
