Three level crossings were removed during the longest rail line closure in Melbourne since the construction of the City Loop more than 30 years ago. The new below-ground McKinnon Station opened on Monday, with new stations at Ormond and Bentleigh to follow in late August. Iman Riman interviewed Public Transport Minister Jacinta Allan and Bentleigh MP Nick Staikos and compiled this report.
