News bulletin of the day in Arabic

The government has suffered a historic loss in a parliamentary vote to Labor for the first time in almost 80 years.

The vote in parliament yesterday was on the Medivac Bill, which if legislated will make it easier for asylum seekers to be transferred to Australia for medical treatment.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison isn't concerned by the loss and says the Liberal party predicted the bill would be passed in parliament house.

He warns Labor passing the bill shows they do not care about Australia's border protection.
