Social Degradation in Syria Source: Syrian Center for Policy Research

The Council for Australian Arab Relations has invited Zaki Mehshy, researcher and co-founder of the Syrian Center for Policy Research to give public talks and participate in round table discussions on issues related to Syria after the conflict.


Mr Mehshy speaks here to SBS Arabic24 about this visit and the research projects undertaken by the Center and the prospects of peace and reconciliation in Syria.

The Center launched a report last year entitled "Social Degradation in Syria - the Conflict Impact on Social Capital. It shows a steep decline in the social capital in the country since the war started seven years ago due to many factors.
