Three generations of Australian mothers of Lebanese heritage in Sydney told SBS Arabic24 they are looking forward to celebrating Mother's Day this Sunday.

Many Australians celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May by showing appreciation for the mums in their lives.

Mary says her daughter is just like her" "We are both committed to family and doing charitable works."

"My greatest gift on Mother's Day is to have the whole family together."

Her advice to younger generations is to "be faithful."

Antoinette says: "I constantly hear my mum's voice in my ear."

"My mother was very strict on going out and sibling conflict."

Antoinette says "social media is the biggest challenge for the younger generation as children push the boundaries and don't agree with their parents."

Natalie says "after waiting so many years to conceive a child I have learned to be patient, hopeful and positive."

'Nothing prepares you to be a mother, you will come across challenges, surprises, have joyful tears and suffer sleep deprivation, but in the end it is all worth it because when you look into your baby's eyes you are mesmerized.'
