Former prime minister Tony Abbott has called for a massive reduction in immigration numbers.


Mr Abbott says infrastructure and housing stocks can't keep up with current immigration rates.

He's urging Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to take the issue to the next election.

But Labor's foreign affairs spokeswoman Penny Wong has told Sky News the former P-M is just looking for attention.
