In October 2103, Norwegian-Somali teenagers Ayan and Leila Juma left their home near Oslo to travel to Syria. In an email they told their parents that they want to "help down there" as best they could.

The father whose world fell apart then goes on a  desperate search  to bring his teenage daughters home from Syria.

SBS Arabic24 Heba Kassoua interviewed the author of “Two Sisters” who documents the father’s journey, the family’s struggles and the human cost of the Syrian war.
