The 58- and 65-year-old women were the drivers of two cars that collided on the Bundaberg-Gin Gin [jin-jin] Road in South Kolan, 23 kilometres west of Bundaberg.
They died at the scene.
A 27-year-old woman and two children, all of whom were passengers in one of the cars, have been taken to hospital with non-threatening injuries.
