Victoria Police say security and safety will be top priority as hundreds of thousands of Victorians are set to enjoy some of Melbourne’s biggest family and sporting events.

Police will be highly visible across the CBD, Yarra and surrounds for events such as Carols by Candlelight and the Boxing Day Test.

A public order and liquor licensing operation will be running in the CBD and Yarra to enhance public safety during the Boxing Day Test.

Partial road closures may also be in place on other days based on crowd numbers.
