Kayro Kunji Khayro is an Iraqi journalist whose life changed forever after the Yazidis were targeted and attacked by ISIS in August 2014. Not having time to bury his father, Khayo fled Iraq with his mum, sisters, wife and six months old daughter. After a journey full of hardships and horrors, Khayro found a home in Wagga Wagga NSW where he is going to TAFE and working on his English in hope to find a job and buy a house in the future. Khayro says Wagga Wagga is home now and his dream is to document the stories of the Yazidis who were subjected to the worlds most tragic attacks in recent history.
