The Constitution guarantees citizens the right to legal assistance and to refrain from answering police questions


Many face the authorities for questioning in cases that may be as simple as traffic violations or as serious as theft or murder. Lawyer Mustafa Awad pointed out that the method of summoning the person to investigate varies depending on the seriousness of the case.

"There are rights guaranteed by the constitution to citizens when they are investigated," he said. Lawyer Mustafa Awad called on citizens to know their rights and get legal advice before talking to the police
