Women's World Cup to kick off in France

The FIFA Women's World Cup starts this weekend when hosts France face Korea Republic in Paris, while the Matildas kick off their campaign against Italy on Sunday night (AEST).


The biggest stars in the women's game - with just a few exceptions - will line up for the event, expected to be the biggest festival of women's sport the planet has ever seen.
