World Health Day Focuses on Depression

World Health Day is celebrated on 7 April every year to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organisation.Depression is the theme of 2017 World Health Day campaign and this years slogan is "Let's talk about depression."


Each year, this day focuses on a new health topic that might concern some people and health organisations around the world.

The campaign highlights the need to seek help and treatment, and not to be ashamed of talking about mental illness problems, including depression.Depression is a common psychological disorder that affects people of all ages and in all walks of life around the world.The World Health Day campaign recalls that talking about depression with someone who can be trusted is the first step on the road to recovery.
