Carmen Lazar is the manager of the ARC. She told SBS that the seminar was very informative and had a lot of people from the community joining in to listen to a number of Assyrian GPs who were invited to offer their advice.
Most of the GPs involved were known doctors in the community and each one made a presentation targeting a specific aspect of the virus.
Mrs Lazar told SBS that the ARC received many inquiries from the community asking many questions that they had about the virus. She arranged another seminar where most of the GPs involved in the first presentation will join in to answer all the questions put through the community about the issue. The session will take place on Saturday 14 August and will start at 6PM on Zoom.
Also, in this interview, Mrs Lazar talks about the census that took place on the night of 10 August. She emphasised on the importance of giving the most appropriate answers to questions 20, 22 and 23.

These question ask for language spoken at home, ancestry and religion. Mrs Lazar says people should write down the answers as follow: Question 20: Answer is Assyrian. Question 22: Answer is Assyrian and question 23 about the religion, Mrs Lazar says people who follow the Assyrian Church of the east, should write down Assyrian Church of the East.
Mrs Lazar also alerted the listeners to be aware and cautious from some people who would charge money to fill out the census form on behalf of the people who can't understand English. She said anyone who needs help filling out the forms, the ARC is ready to help them doing that free of charge.
