The International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings 2018 have been released on Tuesday.

Bangladesh now moved above the West Indies and sits in eighth position in the rankings.

Bangladesh gained Full Member status in 2000. After that it took long time for Tigers to gain this position and move over West Indies in the rankings.

Tigers have won three of their 18 Tests, drawn five and lost 10 since the start of 2015. West Indies were pushed down to ninth position. They have played in 28 Tests since 2015 and lost 18 matches, winning five and drawing five.

Tigers drew both of their home-series against formidable Australia and England.

India has maintained its hold at the top of the rankings.

South Africa is placed second with 112 ratings and Australia is placed third with 106 ratings.
