Uobičajene svečanosti za ramazan, koji je počeo 11. marta, za ljude u Gazi uglavnom su u sjeni rata i gladi. Ramazan je vrijeme vjerskog razmišljanja, s mnogim muslimanima širom svijeta koji svetkuju Sveti mjesec posteći i održavajući porodična druženja. Za stanovnike Gaze ramazan se ove godine mnogo razlikuje od prethodnih godina jer su umjesto u svojim kućama, kojih više nema, u šatorima. A iftar je neizvjestan, jer ni hrane nema.
