United States president Donald Trump has defended his controversial sacking of the director of the country's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). In his first interview since the dismissal, Mr Trump claims the FBI had been in turmoil under James Comey, calling him a "showboat" and a "grandstander." But the agency's acting leader has contradicted the President's account, insisting Mr Comey was widely supported within the FBI.
