During a campus campaign, a candidate was reported bribery by giving a red envelope in a Wechat group. Red Envelope is considered to be Chinese cultural customs. WeChat red envelope is a common practice in many Wechat groups now and also becomes custom in a lot of chat groups. Should this behaviour be accepted by the Australian community? In which way is it appropriate to use Red Envelope? In the talkback, SBS Mandarin Program initiated a wholly new debate. Four high school students came to debate on the topic. The question is: Should WeChat red envelope be seen as bribery?Pro side's standpoint: It is bribery.Con side's standpoint: It is not bribery.
