Dow tumbled again fearing economic downturn

Markets sentiments suddenly turned sour again as markets shifted their attention to the lack of details and uncertainties of the US & China summit.


Market called it “Narrative Vulnerability” as against “Market Vulnerability”.

Having said that, Shanghai stock outperformed others as MSCI China was given a big tick by international investors, whereas others were dragged down by the summit uncertainty and profit taking. Nikkei was dragged down by high Yen.   

In addition two year and three year bond yields were above Five year yield for a second day triggered fear in the market that US economy was fast receding.

Last week, G20 concluded with an action plan to reform World Trade Organization.  So how did they come up with this plan? What’s the urgency to kick start the reform?
