New analysis suggests Australia's future engineers, scientists and tech experts will be hardest hit by the federal government's planned changes to university funding. The research, by Universities Australia, shows where proposed cuts will fall and says science, technology, engineering and maths courses will bear more than a third of the brunt. Selina Kong interviewed Ms. Mai Mai Yeung, Chairman (Australia Chapter) of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers to share her thoughts in solving the problem with the shortage of engineers in Australia. Ms Yeung is also the senior engineer of an Engineering Consultancy Company for the second airport in Sydney.
