Global markets rebounded strongly last 2 trading sessions, recovering a lot from what we now called the “ The worst trading October”. Take Hang Seng as example, it rebounded 1900 points in 2 trading days, and Nikkei recorded its biggest rally since last March, up 556 points.

But coming into the new week, investors sentiment turned a bit subdue as Dow Jones retreated 0.43% on news that China and US trade dispute was yet to come to agreement.  In other words, the last two strong performance trading sessions were based on false premise.  And US mid term election is closing, markets are expected to stand on the sideline for the moment.

Considering market volatility remained high, and more and more stocks were under heavy correction, markets were asking if the bear market had arrived or not. To answer this question, we have independent economic analyst and strategist, Dr Po man Chan to give us some light on it.
