凯特·温斯莱特以改编自已故苹果公司创始人史蒂夫.乔布斯传记的电影《Steve Jobs》赢得电影类最佳女配角。温斯莱特在电影中饰演乔布斯的左右手。乔布斯于2011年10月过世。
来自英国的她发表感言说：“今年对影坛女性真是很棒的一年。”
她感谢一同演出、饰演乔布斯的男星迈克尔-法斯宾德并形容他是「传奇」，“我们全都很崇拜你和你的才华，你为大家立了这么高的标竿。谢谢你作为这么棒的同事和朋友”。
另外，马特·达蒙以电影《The Martian》一举获得音乐喜剧类最佳男主角奖。曾赢得奥斯卡金像奖的马特·达蒙在这部卖座片饰演受困火星的太空人。
