农历新年期间，燃放爆竹在澳洲华人社区仍是一个极具象征义意的活动，但鉴于今年澳洲林火肆虐，有华人商会领袖呼吁，澳洲商户尽量避免于农历新年活动中燃放爆竹，并呼吁商户将预算用作购买爆竹的钱，捐给消防机构以协助对方的搣火工作。澳洲商户是否支持此建议呢？
