伊拉克與伊朗邊境發生 7.3 級強烈地震。

根據伊朗國營電視台報道，地震波及境內 14 個縣，造成泥石流。

截至澳洲時間星期一傍晚五時，地震已造成超過 210 人死亡、1,750 多人受傷，傷亡數字將會陸續上升。

地震在當地時間星期日晚 9 時 20 分左右發生；美國地質勘探局指，震央位於伊拉克哈拉布賈市外約 30 公里的地方。

從一段上載至社交媒體的片段可見，有民眾從伊拉克北部蘇萊曼尼亞一幢大樓慌忙逃走。

地震令大樓的玻璃窗門碎裂，而其他樓宇亦發生外牆倒塌及建築物受損。

伊朗國營電視台報道，地震造成當地 207 人死亡，其餘 1,600 多人受傷。

至於位於邊界另一邊的伊拉克，據報則有六人死亡，另外約 150 人受傷。

在伊朗克爾曼沙赫，當局正積極設立至少三個緊急臨時庇護中心。

有居民指，地震時房屋突然搖動，最初以為是炸彈爆炸，後來才知道發生地震。

以色列、土耳其及阿聯酋亦有居民感到震動。
