The Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce is facing calls from the federal opposition and Greens to step down after the New Zealand government confirmed his citizenship of the country.The matter has been referred to the High Court, and Mr Joyce says he will remain in the parliament while it is being investigated.The Nationals leader is the latest politician whose eligibility to sit in parliament is in doubt due to constitutional rules on dual citizenship.
