On 15 March 1967, 140 prominent Croatian intellectuals, representing 19 leading cultural and scholarly Croatian institutions, signed and submitted to the Parliament of the Socialist Republic of Croatia and to the Federal Parliament of Socialist Federative Republicof Yugoslavia the Declaration on the Name and the Position of the Croatian Literary Language.We asked our prominent guests professors Diana Stolac from the University of Rijeka and Luka Budak from Macquarie University to explain the importance of the Declaration for the Coratian language then and today.
