Coal has sparked intense debate in the lead-up to the federal election, nowhere more so than in central Queensland. The mining town of Collinsville, just north of Mackay, was earmarked before the campaign as a potential site for a new coal-fired power station. But much-needed jobs could come at the cost of crucial votes in the State's south-east corner.
