We travel beyong the fjords and ice capped mountains to meet Gunnar Staalesen, part of the first wave of Norwegian crime writers; Jermund Eriksen, writer of the Norwegian hit TV program Mammon and Frode Sander Øien (aka writer Samuel Bjork ) who explains the dark forces beneath the picture perfect Norwegian landscape.
Gunnar Staalesen has written over twenty crime and other genre novels since publishing his first in 1969. Staalesen has been described as Norway’s 'Raymond Chandler'. His best-known character is Detective Varg Veum
Gjermund Eriksen is the co-writer behind the Norwegian TV hit series Mammon. According to Eriksen, Mammon was inspired by the suicide of the Norwegian Health Minister, Tore Tønne in 2002
Frode Sander Øien is a musician, playwright, artist and crime writer. His non de plume is Samuel Bjork and his writing has been compared to that of Stieg Larsson and Jo Nesbo.
