60,000 illegal migrants hiding in Australia, claims report

Some of these illegal migrants also have families in Australia and are ‘waiting it out’ till their child turns 10 and acquires citizenship, the internal government report states.

An internal government report accessed by The Daily Telegraph says more than 60,000 foreigners are living illegally in Australia.

The Department of Home Affairs now wants Australian authorities and people like Landlords, Real Estate Agents, Day Care operators to verify visas before renting houses and enrolling their children in childcare.

They also want tougher screening for people who want to open a bank account, get a driver’s licence or obtain a WorkCover licence to work on a building site.
