Bendigo and the Central Victorian region named Australia's first UNESCO City of Gastronomy

The designation recognises the food and wine culture in the region, in particular the Indigenous food culture.


Aunty Julie McHale from Murnong Mammas, an Aboriginal cooking group, hopes the UNESCO title results in more Aboriginal people growing Indigenous foods as businesses.
