Indonesia is one of the countries that has the most important bilateral relationship with Australia. DFAT mentions in its website that one of the most important collaborations is in the field of education.
Met while attending the 2022 Indonesian Night Market event held by PPIA UNSW on 17 June, the Indonesian Education Attaché in Canberra, Mukhamad Najib explained to SBS Indonesian about issue that become his current priority tasks.

Mr Najib said that the number of Indonesian students studying in Australia have increased, after being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to providing programs for Indonesian students to be able to do exchanges to Australia, Mr Najib also said that the Indonesian government supports the Australian government's program to send students to study in Indonesia.
From the cultural aspect, the education attache said that Indonesia still needs to promote its culture beyond Bali.

"Indonesian culture is very rich, diverse and broad but lacks of exposure, so it is as if Indonesia is only Bali," said Mr Najib.
