Nomenklatur Hahndorf by Troy-Anthony Baylis is a large-scale installation of bold textile 'landscape' using weaving and synthetic materials to debate the naming and renaming of places - especially in South Australia, where often places have Aboriginal, German, and English names.

Nomenklatur Hahndorf is one of the highlights of the Hahndorf Gallery in Adelaide running till the 31st of May.

Speaking to NITV RadioTroy-Anthony Baylis explained how weaving creates a tension between two threads – which he has been using in his artwork as representation of tensions experienced in society or within ourselves.

On Sunday 1st of May Troy-Anthony Baylis will conduct a fun drawing and weaving workshop for children coinciding  with his Nomenklatur Hahndorf exhibition.
