On Friday, Australia reported at least 45 COVID-19 deaths, including 18 in Victoria, 13 in New South Wales and 12 in Queensland.
Western Australia (WA) reported 15,565 new daily cases, a slight dip in the number of new infections (16,670) recorded on Thursday. WA also reported three historical deaths.

North Korea reported six deaths after acknowledging an outbreak of an unknown fever and its first COVID-19 case on Thursday.
Its state media said more than 350,000 people had been treated for fever since April. One of the six people who died on Thursday was infected with the Omicron variant.
US President Joe Biden said the "pandemic is not over yet," as his country marked a tragic milestone with one million COVID deaths since the pandemic began.
Mr Biden spoke at the second Global COVID-19 summit, where world leaders are discussing strategies to end the pandemic.
