On Tuesday, Australia reported at least 52 COVID-19 deaths, including 20 in Victoria, 19 in New South Wales (NSW) and 11 in Queensland (QLD). In addition, Western Australia reported four historical deaths.
Compared to the previous day, there was a rise in the number of new reported daily COVID-19 infections and hospitalisations across Australia.
The Australian Capital Territory reported 93 people with COVID-19 in hospitals, its highest since 4 April.

Victoria has announced free flu shots for residents after cases increased by more than 30 per cent in the past week. The free jabs will be available at 3,000 GPs and community pharmacies between 1 and 30 June.
NSW, SA and QLD have already announced free flu jabs for their residents.
SA has notified a case of meningococcal disease after a 13-year-old boy was admitted to the hospital. His eight close contacts have been directed to receive antibodies.
