New South Wales
NSW has recorded 1,022 new locally acquired cases and 10 deaths. Currently, 53 per cent of eligible residents are fully vaccinated.
Byron Shire, Kempsey and Tweed's local government areas will go into a seven-day lockdown from 5pm today after a positive COVID case from Sydney visited several communities on the NSW north coast.
From today, a group of three friends under the age of 18 can visit each other at home as long as they live within 5 kilometres and in the same local area. The "friends bubble" is only permitted in households where all adults are fully vaccinated.

Victoria
Victoria has recorded 603 new locally acquired cases and one death.
Across Metropolitan Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast, Ballarat and Mitchell Shire, the construction industry has been shut down for two weeks after a number of outbreaks linked to construction. There are currently 403 positive cases linked in the industry, related in turn to 186 construction sites.
Victoria set to receive more than 300,000 Moderna vaccines across the state.

Australian Capital Territory
The territory has recorded 16 new locally acquired cases.
Chief Minister Andrew Barr has announced $14 million of additional funding to support mental health, alcohol and other drug services across the territory.
