New South Wales
NSW has recorded 291 new locally acquired cases, with at least 48 in the community while infectious. Another death has been recorded, with an unvaccinated woman dying in her 60s in southwest Sydney.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian announces greater police presence to ensure compliance with public health orders in the Canterbury-Bankstown area, where the biggest spike in numbers has been noted.
Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant says that out of the 50 people in intensive care, 44 are not vaccinated while the rest had received their first dose.

Victoria
Victoria has recorded six new locally acquired cases, out of which two were announced on 5 August.
All six cases are linked to previously reported Delta infections but were not in quarantine while infectious.
Yesterday's lockdown was sparked by two separate chains of transmission, dubbed the Hobsons Bay and Maribyrnong outbreaks.

Queensland
Queensland has recorded 10 new locally acquired cases, all linked to the existing cluster.
More than 330 community pharmacies are now delivering COVID-19 vaccinations to Queenslanders.
Chief Health Officer Dr Jeanette Young says it's still too early to say whether southeast Queensland's lockdown will end on 8 August.
