COVID-19 Update: Victoria hits 90 per cent double vaccination as Queensland reviews travel bubble

  •  Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says she is reviewing a possible border bubble with NSW after a confirmed case in Byron Bay.
  • Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner says misinformation is being spread from overseas in the state, and requests residents to follow the words of Traditional Elders instead.
  • Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews urges people to remain courteous to retail staff and servers enforcing the COVID-19 protocols after the state achieved 90 per cent double dose vaccination target.
  • Travellers from Katherine LGA to South Australia now deemed ‘high risk’ and will have to quarantine for seven days.
  • Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa holders who were unable to travel to Australia because of international border restrictions will be able to apply for a replacement visa.

COVID-19 STATS:

Victoria recorded 1,254 locally acquired cases and five deaths.
NSW recorded 276 new community cases. 
ACT recorded eight, and NT one new cases.
