Australia lays out a new strategy to tackle the nation’s drowning crisis

Since the start of summer, 33 people have died from drowning in Australia. In response, the Australian Water Safety Council has launched the Australian Water Safety Strategy 2030, which aims to reduce drowning deaths by 50 percent before the end of the decade.
