China extends warm welcome to US President

Mr Trump's visit to China is the first by a foreign leader since the end of a key Communist Party congress last month, where Mr Xi cemented his power as China's most powerful leader in decades.

Trade and discussions about North Korea's nuclear aspirations are set to dominate the formal part of the visit, which ends Friday (Nov 10).
